Yep, PCOD here! I try to work out 4-5x a week, mostly strength training with some low-impact cardio. High-intensity stuff messes with my hormones, so I keep it moderate. Strength + protein has helped a ton with symptoms! What’s been working for you so far?
Same exact regiment for me! I’ve never really considered if the high intensity stuff negatively affects hormones but it feels like death when I’m gasping for air so I just leave it to the pros & stick to steady state cardio 😂
I completely stopped doing cardio. The only 'cardio' I do is walking and on days right after my period with my 'so-called renewed energy' haha, I will jog or bike. I strength train 3 days a week and that's about it.
My friend was diagnosed with PCOS a couple years ago, and they were absolutely overwhelmed with information once they started researching. Fitness, diet, and everything else under the sun. Honestly what really helped them was just starting small and then evaluating from there. Walking or low intensity 30 minutes everyday, then adding in some weights, etc. Trial and error!
I workout 5x a week. Mainly strength training & sometimes an incline walk on the treadmill. I can’t handle the high intensity cardio stuff. Focusing on lean protein and less processed foods also works for me :)
