I didn’t think you got any additional MQM’s from being upgraded to first or comfort + I thought it was only based on your original fare class + price + status
You might be making the wrong correlation, upgrade and bonus are all a result of buying a higher fare class. Which fare class were the ones where you got upgraded?
Max(actual,500) for short flights
I’m trying to get MQMs fast and may accept a middle seat comfort plus for a short flight if I can get the 50% MQM bonus and reach the next level quicker, especially since short flights count as 500 MQMs even if much shorter
^That’s what I thought. The last few weeks though I’ve gotten a 50% MQM bonus when I’ve been upgraded. They’ve been Delta connection flights so not sure if that changes it
You don’t get extra for upgrades but I got 500 for an 94 mike connection a few weeks ago. Seemed odd but the whole ticket was expensive
Anything classified as a shuttle flight gets 500 as a standard amount for lots of different length legs
Bonus MQMs are based on fare class:
“Full fare First and Business Class tickets (F, J fares) are eligible for a 100% MQM bonus. Discounted First, Delta Premium Select, Business, and Premium Main Cabin tickets (P, A, G, C, D, I, Z, Y, and B fares) are eligible for a 50% MQM bonus. Purchased upgrades are eligible for bonus MQMs based on the class of service flown."
