Do you find professional learning tools like LinkedIn Learning or Coursera to be all that useful? I’ve always thought they really struggle with real world application and with AI being a great tool to build learning plans, I think they become even less useful, especially as the costs get higher and higher.

I’m getting an offer from a company as Site Reliability Engineer. Is it good to move their as SRE? Will it look good on resume?

I recently accepted a position with a new org. One of the benefits I asked about with offer was the parental leave policy and was told (in writing by HR) 16 weeks paid after 1 year, which is as good as you can hope for in US. Now I’ve been sent the employee handbook to review/sign and it says only 12 weeks, which is less than the org I’m leaving. What might my recourses be to negotiate 16 weeks when the time comes? Also, should I be viewing this is a red flag?
