Hi guys, I need a suggestion.
I am very new to devops domain like only 6 month of theoretical knowledge and i got offer pf a tech lead role in a company so will i be able to survive ? Will this 6 month knowledge with less hand-on is sufficient to survive or should i choose lesser profile first and try to learn and then try for higher role as tech lead? Guys who are working in devops domain please help me to understand that how is the work load in devops?
DEVOPS
Hi Sharks, I have to 6.7 total and in devops 3 YOE. I got 2 offers please help me to choose one of them and if anyone knows about the below companies policies or security or work culture please comment. I have to make a decision in 1-2 days.
1) Johnson controls inc. pune: 14 CTC(12.8 fixed)
2) CITIUSTECH Pune : 20 CTC(19 fixed)
Is citiustech pune is worth to join over johnson or not?Johnson Controls , Inc. Citiustech Healthcare Technologies

Take that offer and look for other counter ..as per your skills you can easily get 16 LPA in devops tech stack only
Totally safe ...just focus on learning if something bad happens you'll be backed with skills and also higher ctc to jump.
Offcourse
What about Resume? SRE is considered to be support role
why not? you will get much more handson exp but the tech stack on offer will matter a lot.
Depends on the company.
In India, many service organizations renamed there Support Engineer role as SRE role. So ask questions during interview and understand what they tag as SRE.
If the organization is product or SAAS based, SREs are probably a good role if you are ok with on calls , shift rotations etc. Some companies follow sun model but there is no guarantee. With your current experience if you are interested in SRE concepts, it is a good role change and you would even get a chance to explore SRE roles outside India once you good hands-on.
Now, if you want out of shifts or atleast reduce them, you could try for a DevOps role.
