An Afr Am man asked why male Caribs and Africans have access to certain types of Afr Am women. The answer is interesting https://www.quora.com/Why-do-Immigrant-Black-men-e-g-Nigerians-seem-to-find-dates-with-higher-class-Black-American-women-than-I-do-a-Black-American-male/answer/Paris-Walker-5?ch=12&share=5a829587&srid=6yai

So- we run Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) for our clients display ads in a feed and corresponding google sheet via Google DoubleClick. My q is- does anyone know what systems out there allow for creating a template that will automatically pull a product image from say Target.com and automatically building the ad & copy without manually making 1000 ads via row for row in the google sheet? I know this is possible but curious if Sizmek or Flashtalking are more common in this type of creative development.

If I want to socialize, I’ll talk with my friends or family. When I’m at work, I’m there to do a job. That said, I have formed some genuine friendships through work, but those are very rare.
Of all the jobs I’ve held in my career, I only keep in touch with two former coworkers, and even that is primarily through social media.
Too many people nowadays want their work life to be exactly like their home life. They want jobs where they work without thinking they’ve been working.

This is so valid. it makes a lot of sense. I think I was coming from a more casual place, like debating whether or not to go to a ‘Marketing BBQ’ this weekend. Still figuring out where to draw the line between bonding and just wanting to crash at home lol.
I don't do it. That's one of the great things about working for a remote agency - there's no pressure to meet up for happy hours or team building events outside of work. I want to keep my work and personal lives as far apart as humanly possible.
For me it really depends if there is food/alcohol involved
I like some of my coworkers but I want to go home after work. I usually feel obigated if I do show up. I often just go home though.
I typically keep a close circle of coworker “friends” I actually trust. It’s nice socializing with them outside the office, but office-wide gatherings are insufferable
A select few of us head out most Thursday nights for drinks etc. But outside of that I don’t really socialise with the majority of people I work with.

Years ago, I worked at an agency for about 10 years. I stayed because of the friendships I made that still exist today, even though we no longer work together. I haven’t had connections like that since, but I will attend occasional happy hours or company events.

I grew up in consulting so I feel socializing was in most peoples nature. I switched into industry in my 30s and found it was hard to find a niche of coworker friends. I still attend the team building and happy hours but I’m still looking for the colleagues I’ll make seperate plans with in a weekend or after work.

I just ran into a coworker at the local farmers market today. I was with my wife and kids. I said hello and made some small talk. Afterwards, my wife told me it was super awkward and I seemed 'thirsty'. I joined the company a few years ago and I'm used to working at a digital agency. I think there is a better sense of camaraderie vs. being in a corporate marketing role. Any others that went from consulting into industry.
