As long as they're reasonable. They don't want someone giving a $100 gift so they can get better services from an employee in return. Things like a coffee mug or gift cards are fine though.

That’s what I always hear too! I have some coworkers who don’t give presents at all for that reason, because they’d have to do it for everyone too. I’m a gift giver so it’s hard for me to not do it!

We play in Secret Santa - $25 maximum

I love this idea!! How big is your team? I have about 40 on mine. Would this work still with a large group?

How do I keep my team engaged when I am also struggling to stay motivated?

Our department has had a lot of turnover within the last few months, all of which were from different reasons (school, family issues, opportunities close to home, etc.). It has been a challenge to divide the workload, while still trying to remain flexible and provide a work-life balance.

However, I’m starting to feel stressed and disengaged. Any suggestions to make it through the changes?

I compared benefits, pros/cons, compared them on Glassdoor, questioned them about growth opportunities, asked about their culture.....anything I am missing? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

I’m a scheduler in a major hospital, see my position in other departments being advertised as remote available. How can I successfully negotiate WFH? I’d like to cut down on my 44-mile one way commute.
