I would recommend 1-3M and make sure that defense costs do not erode
Yeah ig depends entirely on who the insured is and the nature of their claims, if your jx will leave personal assets at risk and you have anything to lose you probably don’t want it, otherwise that makes sense

Agreed - 1/3 of a claims are against solo attorneys. I defend lawyers sued for malpractice and $1 mil is pretty standard but more is always better if you can afford it. Think about choice of counsel and if you want an eroding policy too. I also act as outside General Counsel to small firms, feel free to DM me if you’d like to chat.
$1m defense outside, but I don’t do much. Premium about $2,500.
That’s cheap for $1m.
It depends on several factors. For example the nature of the claim and who the insured is.
