Hi, I’m currently a Clinical Site Manager for 3 separate regions making a 34k salary. I’m finishing my MHM in August and I’ve been working in an ambulatory healthcare setting since I graduated college in 2018. I’m looking for a position that pays more. I’ve been considering getting my BSN but I don’t know if it’s worth it. If you have any insight about what I should do or next level positions please let me know. I live in Charlotte,NC

Charlotte isn’t a super cheap area (there are some really expensive areas around it). You said you’re clinical and considering a BSN? You’re an RN now? Managing REGIONS? And making $34k? Is this full time? I’m struggling to reconcile your salary with the description of your position.

like

Is your salary a typo? ~$16/hr managing 3 regions seems strange.

like

No, it’s $17/hr. The company is based out of TX. I handle medical scribes and patient coordination

I agree. That seems very low even without a bachelors. I would say depending on the clinic size you work for, minimum $50k. You have a bachelors and over a region I’d say somewhere above 60k is more appropriate

like

Hmm, okay so my perspective may be off. The pay is correct. I don’t work for the clinic but a 3rd party that provides services. The areas I manage are Charlotte, Salisbury, the Coast, and Winston Salem.

I already have a Bachelors but I’m considering an accelerated RN program

like

I would imagine if you are truly managing those sites, (depending on region) easily $80k+ regardless of credentials.

Agreeing with everyone else…also consider where you live in terms of salary. Not a huge factor, but one to consider for sure. An RN license will serve you well as leaders will promote an RN before an ops oriented person. You can really sore high with that. Consider moving to get more $$$,$$$$. I mean with those credentials alone, you can earn 6 figures elsewhere.

If this isn’t a typo, you are being SEVERELY underpaid. I’m also in Charlotte area working in healthcare. Have you looked into options at either Novant or Atrium?
