I’m at a point where I’m very comfortable where I am and ready to move on to higher paying but more stressful roles. At the same time I’m also pursuing a side hustle that can be lucrative if done correctly but comes with more risks. Would you 1.) try and get promoted while pursuing a side hustle or 2.) stay in current role and focus on side hustle?

Would it be hard to get a exp associate role in advisory at a B4 as someone with about 10 months in audit at EY, 7 months experience in corporate accounting at a F300 and CPA? Hated my time at the F300 but had thought the grass would be greener in industry. I’m starting a financial analyst position at a major hospital system in my area soon and want to stick with that for a couple years before making a transition but was curious if I just don’t have the right experience for a role in advisory.
