I love my lab grown diamond, definitely recommend! They’re chemically therefore structurally the same!
I have a three stone lab diamond engagement ring, and I truly love it. Visually, there is no difference. I love the ethics and affordability. The biggest downside is the resale value—I understand they’re not expected to hold their value the same way that a mined diamond might—but that is not a downside to me, as I don’t plan to sell the ring but pass it down as an heirloom in the distant future. I hope you get one and enjoy it!

Yea if I was in financial stress I would never sell my wedding ring or band!!! Other jewelry sure but I am talking about the ring you get engaged and married with.
Lab grown are the same as mined chemically. If you are the type that scratches/bangs your jewelries a lot, so will your engagement ring, regardless of lab / mined
Lab grown is def more ethical. For the same price, you will get a worse quality mined diamond compared to lab grown. I have a lab grown and love it. It's holding up very well considering I am a very careless person
Hi, I’m a registered jeweler. I say go lab grown for sure! They are real diamonds and you can get a larger higher quality diamond for less money than earth mined. I’ve graded both for work and I’ll never buy earth mined again.
Lab grown is definitely the way to go when buying new. If you're really trying to be ethically conscious, maybe also consider buying vintage/used.
My husband bought my engagement ring new, but we picked out our wedding bands at different vintage certified retailers in our large city. There were tons of options that were both cheaper and more creative than I'd have thought for myself!
Yep this is the way to go. Look into estate jewelry and antique diamond dealers.
I have a lab grown diamond engagement ring and I love it. I will caution that jewelers can tell a diamond is lab grown because the diamonds have a serial number indicating they’re lab grown, but you need special instruments to be able to tell. The stone should be appraised for what you pay for it, so the fact a jeweler can tell doesn’t hurt you (if you get what I’m saying).

I have lab grown. I showed my husband lab v natural under the microscope in the store and would ask him which one is clearer, with only me and the sale associate knowing which was which. Tested him with several diamonds and every time he picked the lab grown versions! Which I preferred as well even knowing which was which. And the jeweler gave me lab and natural of similar CCC to compare.
We were able to buy a bigger, nicer diamond with lab grown.
Gemologically there is no difference between lab and natural. Only difference is how they are made.
I love my custom lab grown diamond, it looks fantastic and we get to start our life knowing hubs did not spend his savings on a ring.
Following - I think I want a lab grown diamond!
The true ethical thing would be to give the money to people in need.
So just buy whatever you like!
Vintage/ antique is definitely the way to go if you are concerned about ethics. Lab grown are still pretty bad for the environment.
Another benefit of vintage/ antique diamonds is that they are usually less expensive than newly mined diamonds but they will hold their value much better than labs diamonds.
