Do you have flies in your classroom? We have a couple indestructible flies! I have hit them with a newspaper multiple times, and after a couple seconds they literally fly off. They kids have tried smacking them, and as one 7th grader stated "They are just hyper imstinctive!" They will buzz right into your face or crawl on you. Anyone have suggestions on how to get rid of flies? Even our custodians can't seem to succeed.

I went to a T14 law school, got great grades and glowing recommendations, and wrote (what I thought was) a great writing sample. But I got rejected from all 70 federal clerkships I applied to. The only thing I can think of is: I took a non traditional route after law school and did a 2 year public interest fellowship in a niche field of administrative law. The rejection gave me a lot of self hatred. I still really want to clerk. Any advice? What is wrong with me? I feel like a failure.

Are companies looking to hire more minorities and people who identify as LGBTQ+? I saw a post about a job listing for a Big 4 and it said it had a strong preference for people who identify as LGBTQ+ or a minority racial group. Does this mean they have a higher chance of getting the job? Not trying to start any political debates, I’m just generally curious.
