Does anyone else have issues knowing when to stop working or managing their work-life balance? I get emails and requests at all hours and I always respond but I'm wondering if it is time to set up some boundaries and start ignoring requests after a certain point at night and on the weekends?

does anyone here have experience freelancing while taking care of a newborn? would love to hear your approach/perspective. my husband and I both work from home and his job is so lax, it’s practically part time. trying to formulate a plan for returning to freelance life after the kid is born.

What has better WLB and comp, being a heme onc physician or climbing the ranks of D/SD/VP in R&D or commercial strategy for an oncology line? Not taking into account initial path to get to these positions.

I give massive kudos to all the parents out there juggling work and home life. But it’s starting to feel like I pulled the short stick by not having a kid. Really struggling to pick up all of the slack from all of the colleagues that do have kids and feel like the expectation is that parents should turn off while the rest are working from 7am - 2am everyday to make up for it.

Has anyone just taken a break from work without anything lined up? Every offer I’ve gotten wants me to start in a month and with 2 weeks notice that leaves me only 2 weeks to recharge. So, I’m interviewing for a position that fits perfectly, HR likes my profile, had great conversations with them. Today I had a Panel interview with HR and the hiring manager. The manager is not experienced, it’s her first r manager role and she’s been in it for 3 months. I was prepared but was out of breath the entire interview, had a knot in my throat, had trouble finding my words. It’s like I had PTSD when this manager came into the picture. Ever had that?
