I’ve never thought about doing that. Good idea
Some companies will budge on PTO others won't but I found out that some will negotiate the bonus percentage.
Great idea!! I’ll keep this in mind
That's definitely something worth exploring, but it may not work in a lot of cases. Some organizations have PTO specified in the employee handbook and they may be unwilling to exhibit any flex on that. Some people also try to negotiate on hybrid or remote work scenarios, again with varying results.
That’s what I was wondering about too—like how could they keep track of different amounts for hundreds of employees?
I’ve never negotiated time off myself, but I’ve heard of people doing it. I’m usually more focused on getting a higher base salary. If they won’t budge on that, the next best option is to ask for better benefits, like additional PTO.

I’ve tried negotiating before but my company doesn’t budge on it
My current company offered me 2 weeks and I told them I need 5 to match what I currently have. I got it. I would have also walked if they didn’t.
That’s amazing! Great negotiating. 2 weeks isn’t enough to do much of anything
