Do you tailor your resume to every single individual role you apply to, or do you just have a few different resume versions you use for different types of roles? I personally feel like my time is better spent trying a) get a referral and b) finding the aligned recruiter and hiring manager and emailing them after I apply, instead of relying on the ATS system…. Thoughts?

Use ai to tailor every bullet to the role.

Recruiters use AI to screen you out, might as well use it back to ensure that don’t happen

smart

This is the way.

Do what you are doing with referrals and follow ups, but AI makes tailoring much quicker.

I have done advisory and implementation projects in several sectors and CM has been a part of them. For every role that I have applied, I have modified my resume to bring out the most relevant experience first. It’s best you do that.

My company recently changed my commission plan by capping half of our variable payout, resulting in the sales reps making roughly 30% less on commission checks when going over quota. One of the worst double standards in corporate america.

Companies especially startups expect you to not keep interviewing when you accept a job offer. “It can deteroriate your brand.”

But companies would replace you in a heartbeat for almost any reason. Including interviewing a candidate who will replace you (you will be fired as soon as they find a person).

So companies can fuck with the little guys but we can’t look for our best interest?
