Are you eating healthy, getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, exercising regularly and if applicable getting vitamin D?

I just moved so I still have to find a new doctor but I agree it’s probably time to for a checkup anyway, thank you

For me it’s part seasonal depression - it’s SO dark so early these days. Part just everything fucked going on in this country/world. But mostly, it’s just needing some time off. It always helps me completely reset after a week off.
I feel like this everyday that I’m working lol even if it’s just 1 hr

If you live in a cold climate, try getting a humidifier and use it in your bedroom when you sleep at night. Would lay off the melatonin for a bit too and see if that makes a difference, and try going to bed at the same time each night.
When I feel like this it’s usually because I haven’t gotten good/regular sleep due to work and/or alcohol (so lay off that for a couple of weeks too, if applicable). I’m always amazed what a real weekend with good sleep and zero alcohol can do for my body.
Hey OP, sorry you’re feeling this way. You are describing me about 3 months ago. Like others have alluded to, it’s likely low grade depression. What helped me: therapy, a very consistent daily routine, including minimum 4x a week exercise (yoga is fine), no drinking on week nights, vitamins (esp vitamins D - I got a blood test and my levels were very deficient), and quick wins. By “quick wins” I mean I will keep a list in my phone of things I’ve been meaning to do but haven’t. These things are easy/small, like “clean up my inbox” or “take X to the dry cleaner.” (I know it sounds silly, but with depression the small tasks can feel monumental.) I will then focus on achieving one per week, maybe two. It makes me feel accomplished. Best of luck!!
Yeah, I was also drinking 2 large glasses of wine per night. It’s honestly a tough habit to break because 1) I enjoy wine and 2) the world sucks right now and wine helps BUT it truly has been much better to stop during the week. I still partake on the weekends and now see it as a treat, which makes it better in a way. It’s a work in progress but after a couple weeks of being consistent I promise you’ll begin to feel a bit better. I didn’t really believe my therapist because it all sounds so simple, but she was right!
