Here’s a very pointed thread on transforming transportation and how a Tesla may actually be a hindrance to the effort. I’m not convinced in hydrogen’s long term viability, but can see its merits in some defined use cases. But this thread shows the nuance, trade offs, and quickly emerging entrenched interests in the ET.

I've seen recruiters mention that cover letters do get taken into consideration, but I'm honestly a little skeptical about it regardless. I just try to find jobs that don't even require one, I think it's a bit archaic to still ask for one in this day and age. Everyone just lies about how enthusiastic they are about the company, we all know we just want to get the job, why all the pretense?
Cover letters don't hurt, and they can only increase your chances. Just keep it short and simple on a cover letter though and don't over embellish your abilities. Make sure to cater the cover letter to the particular company you're applying to.
If it’s not required, don’t write one. 90%+ of companies aren’t going to read it. The only person who will see it is probably the recruiter and they’re not likely to pass it on.
Johnathan words of wisdom on IG did an experiment on this to see if companies read cover letters. Go check it out. He applied to 50 companies one of the coverletters was signed pleasedont hireme as his name and in the coverletter ranted about how requesting a cover letter was silly. However, he used a normal resume. The result? He still got interviews from some companies with the crazy cover letter haha 😂
