Does anyone actually understand how consulting bonuses are calculated? Every year, my firm hands them out like some secret formula was used, and no one really knows why one person gets X and another gets Y. Also seems like consulting firms use ‘big bonus potential’ as a way to keep base salaries lower. Would you rather have a higher guaranteed salary or keep the bonus-heavy structure?

I’ve accepted an offer from a firm. Had to revise my joining date and the HR sent an email confirmation for the revised doj. I received an onboarding portal link from another HR, on their portal it’s mentioned my joining is in January which is even earlier than the joining date I received before on my OL which I got revised later on. The HR isn’t even reachable, they don’t reply to mails or pick calls. Don’t know what to do.

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. What’s the salary range for a manager in the Pharmacy R&D practice at Accenture based out of Chicago?

Any thoughts on what a typical manager salary should be? Associates all start at 75 at BSR but managers fluctuate. Is 120k on par with other firms? 2 years experience in consulting, 5 industry, MA, and a subject matter expert. Is expecting a 45k jump with a promotion crazy?
