I work for a large, legacy technology company that hasn’t been faring so well lately. I have a fantastic manager who cares about my growth, a supportive team, I’m well compensated...but I don’t believe in the product that I have to sell.
Based on stock prices, press, and exec turnover, I don’t know what to do. There are more positives than negatives but it’s hard to be inspired (or confident) much lately. We are a decade behind newer tech companies
Anyone else deal with this?

What’s your current comp and city tier? Assuming no MBA? The band is fairly wide (maybe 100k-170k) as you’ll get people with 10 years of experience reloading after MBA or undergrads fresh out or internal firm transfers (who often get screwed the most on pay). Also some firms will do a standardized cohort model.
FWIW how underpaid you are should be compared against a broader market set of consulting firms and industry roles vs just other big 4s. I’d recommend leaving your LinkedIn as “open to opportunities” and ask about comp ranges from head hunters who reach out.
$116k tier 2 at the moment. All of the managers and other senior associates I’ve worked with have complained about pay, and many of them recently left telling me they’re making significantly more from just jumping.
Another firm should be willing to give you around 150k to do this type of work.
