Does anyone have any advice for preparing for work on a Monday morning?
I am dreading this week….. only because I have come back off annual leave middle of the week and I have one full week and I’m off again.
Has anyone got any advice on how to get organised and be sufficient in their job in such a high speed rush for a week?
Hopefully I’m not alone on this!

I spend my Sundays doing meal prepping and cleaning the house. I also really protect my Sunday night peace and always go to bed early and keep the evening chill. This helps me wake up early and feel prepared on Monday morning. I used to try to cram so many things in every weekend until I realized I need more chill time to actually feel ready for a new week

Yes I understand that, it’s hard to sometimes find the balance between making the most out of the weekends and also rest and catching up on general life chores!

Having time off can be great, but it can also be destabilizing. For me, I always make a lot of lists. I have the memory of a goldfish, so if I don't write everything down, I'll forget it all. My lists help me feel prepared for all the tasks I need to complete when I'm at work, especially when my schedule is unpredictable.

Yes I get that, thanks for sharing. I find having a written down list gets me more motivated to actually do it rather than just thinking of all the tasks I need to do.

I just make sure I get a good night's sleep on Sunday night, and Monday morning I tend to wake up feeling rested. I don't do a lot of job prep except for one thing I find important, I go over my calendar for the week. I just want to make sure I don't have any meetings coming up I'm not prepared for. Thinking through my week first thing on Monday helps me to ease into it, and once the workday really starts I'm not feeling particularly anxious about anything.

Yes I like that, gives you a minute to realise what you actually have coming up rather than last minute stressing!

I’ve always been a big saver minimum 15% to maxing out my 401k since I graduated college. I’m married to someone who thinks 6% is enough and likes $$$ cars. Other than the cars, they dont really spend money. For the married 🐠, how do you have the conversation with them that what they are doing isn’t enough? I try to guide them and say you want the $$$ cars but the salary you have won’t get there and you’re going to have to find a job that gets them the salary…. Then the fight starts.

Things changed after I watched Akshay’s mom (Indian Matchmaking) tell him even 25 is too late and not marrying somehow messes up lives of people around him. While the show was staged, there might be truth to the latter part.
Looking for F in ny/nj. Personality: NOT Aparna. NOT Nadia but def more Nadia than Aparna.🙏
