Does anyone have any recommendations for resume descriptions? I'm looking to make the jump from biglaw to in-house. I'm a rising 5th year in tech transactions. Since half of my work is commercial contracts or product counsel, it has to remain confidential (as opposed to publicly announced M&A deals we support). Having trouble figuring this out.

Skip all that and start connecting with people on LinkedIn who do the things you want to do at the companies you want to work for. Connect with them, ask for a chat, and ask for a referral. Reach out to recruiters on LinkedIn after you’ve applied for a job. The market is tough, but you have the right experience. Don’t waste your time trying to beat the hiring software. Find a human you can connect with to help you get your resume to the right place.

Look at the job descriptions and see if anything matches your experience and adjust job listing language as needed leaving out client names or any client-identifying details.

I doubt they didn't give me quarterly variable , I joined in mid February and even salary came less than previous month.
Did they deduct tax in April month salary of it is then fine because they didn't tax in March month .

Kindly comments if anyone have idea .

Additional Posts in Ask A Recruiter - Law

I interviewed at a law firm and had my final round last Friday. The Tuesday afterward, I got a call from the recruiter saying the firm won’t have a decision for another week. I believe they’re interviewing other candidates. Does that make me second or third choice? And does the fact that I’m working with a recruiter hurt my chances of being selected due to the commission? Should I hold out for the offer or is 1+ week a sign that I won’t be selected?

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Is this normal in the entertainment world? Any suggestions?
