The only thing I’ve ever needed from an in-house client was last 4 of a social which felt odd to me and I asked the client for an explaination and they said it was for applicant tracking, I asked if we could provide an alternative number and they said fine.

Otherwise social shouldn’t be ever needed unless it’s a background check.

I’d just ask for more info about why they need it, not working with them or blindly handing it over shouldn’t be your only options.

Yes. They got me a fantastic interview and made it to the final round with a large company. They’ve been around forever but are horrible if you’re a junior bc they ignore you but great as a partner or midlevel to senior associate

like

Why would they need your SSN? I've worked with a couple of recruiters and have never been asked to provide that.

like

No to that!!

I've worked with them. They are OK.

Do you work the holidays into your lesson plans this time of year? Or is it too much of a distraction from your routine? Teaching a SPED music class this year and the students have finally *mostly* become comfortable in the room and with the instruments + noise. We usually work on the same songs each week for one month, but I'm thinking of switching it up and doing Christmas/Holiday songs next week as a send off into break. I work with mostly autistic students.

This is not my wheelhouse so I’m not sure of the answer. If someone is writing a “memoir” and is including me in it, and I DONT want to be in the book, do I have any legal recourse? I understand since it’s been published it doesn’t meet any invasion of privacy or potential defamation yet, but is there something I can do preliminarily to protect myself and stop my inclusion?

I am lead counsel on a case - we’re suing 3 businesses and my supervisor is a named incorporator of one of the businesses although he is not an officer. He is asking me to bring the file and meet with him about the progress of the case. I reminded him of the conflict and he stated that the conflict was resolved because he also has a claim against 1 of the companies that he recently filed separately. I don’t see how that resolved the conflict…and he’s fully pressuring me to meet. How to respond?

Layoffs. Most big firms say they're sitting on a conservative pile of cash - which I believe is true - but work will obviously not return to pre-COVID levels in the short term, probably not even in the medium term. Are Biglaw layoffs coming?
