not if you know how to negotiate. I don’t plan on it at all.
Not when you’re freelancing 2000 miles away 😂
Unless you already have an established relationship with them and they are asking it of their full-time staff, probably. You could try negotiating for sure, but - unless you have a previous relationship (and good standing with them) or are incredibly sought after for some reason, they probably won’t budge. I’ve interviewed for several freelance roles for kicks (I’m FT remote + other creative gigs on the side) with a strong/reputable background and the recruiters all but hung up when they heard I wasn’t open to return to office/hybrid model. Others will do it so it all depends on how much you actually need the job.
Oh I’m not bothered - the interviews are just to see what’s out there, I’m employed full-time and permanently remote. Just giving my observations about the freelance roles I’ve interviewed for. 😄
I have several long term contracts all in different cities, big agencies, no one has brought up me needed to be onsite in the future and have already asked if I was Interested in extending to the end of the year.
