Got assigned to manage a midweight who isn’t very helpful and now seems not to be very responsive. I actually need them to step up because the work to be done is enormous. Does anyone have any tips? Since I’ve only met them remotely, I don’t know if this is lack of skill, insecurity, or if they think they can get away with it bc they’re dealing with a freelancer.

when we bought our house the previous owner had cameras all over the inside of the house. later we found out there was a murder in our house before them. tonight i found tool marks on the inside of our door frames…creepy

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Or just chill out? I just feel very confused. Are a lot of full time jobs like this?

My manager and I had the conversion convo today and he said he’d like to convert me immediately and took the action item to do so. I was assigned a project for a big brand a year ago through a recruitment agency, the brand now contacting me for another project & asking for a quote. What’s the common practice here?

I did sign a contract with the agency and in the freelance handbook it states out that within certain period of time any future projects from the same client needs to go through with the agency. But I don’t want them to take half of my pay check. Help!
