Quick caveat: this is my side hustle
Short answer: $15-$30/post + additional bells and whistles OR a daily/weekly rate based on hours of commitment
Long answer:
Depends on the client/nature of the role. If it’s creating content, I bill by the number of posts. If it’s posting other people’s content and/or actively monitoring their feeds, I give them a daily/weekly rate. If they’re a shitty client, I double my rate.
I also break creating content into two categories: 1)are you giving me images/videos/starting language or 2) do I have to come up with everything by myself.
Reporting gets its own line item too. Many of my smaller clients don’t care about performance so long as they have a social media presence and aren’t actively damaging their brand. So I use the “generating reports” line item as a way to give them a small discount.
Because there are so many factors, I don’t really have a good response to “this is my rate.” But I can give you a range. My oldest client is charged about $15/post wants about 10 posts a month. My shittiest client is closer to $30/post + $25/mon for reports + $100/mon just for me to deal with them.
