Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Has anyone tried doing this yet? Can anyone shine more light on this? The extension would really help me, but I’m not sure what more to tell them in my email than the fact that I couldn’t sit for the exams this Spring/Summer due to test centers closing in NYC.

I’m a first year litigation associate and have felt depressed for the past six months largely due to work. I landed what has been my dream job for years - a position at a music law firm - despite having no experience in the industry and no transactional background. My parents think I am committing career suicide by leaving Big Law so soon and working with non Ivy Leaguers. I think I’ve landed a once in a lifetime opportunity and can swing the pay cut since I have no student debt. Thoughts?

I have an H1b which I received in 2019 and was valid till august2021, due to covid I wasn't able to travel and then I switched to another firm last year in November. If I get visa transfer, will it provide me a validity back as I haven't used any on site time on that visa.

I’ve become negative about my life and can only think how I’ve been wronged, how I’m stuck, and frustrations w/ various circumstances in my life. They all feel connected in a cycle I can’t escape bc it’s all cause and effect ending up back where it started. I can’t find where to break the toxic cycle of negative in my life or how to make those circumstances better. I feel my life has backed me into a corner. I’m aware I’m playing victim and not taking charge of my life. Advice on breaking free?
