YES! 100% YES! I cannot stand the constant back and forth ping for nonessential tasks. Honestly, I ignore mine half the time, but if I read/respond every time it goes off, I'll never get any work done. I have a hard enough time maintaining my attention span as it is.

I’m exactly the same! Usually ignore them but then some people get so funny if I’m ignoring them! Just pick up the phone !!
Completely agree with you. I have the same communications hierarchy. 1. Phone call - super urgent. 2. Email - somewhat urgent. 3. Slack/Teams message - not urgent. If a coworker needs something done quickly, I expect them to pick up the phone or at very least send an email.

Yep, exactly that! 100% agree with you there
How often do you email vs face to face or call? I find boomers love to pop in or interrupt you without a heads up.

I get a lot more emails than calls. And tbh if I am busy, I will ignore a phone call :D Harder in the office though when people can just pop over to your desk and start talking at you
I ignore Teams unless it’s my boss or my boss’s boss. Otherwise I would never get anything done because once you start responding to Teams messages, everyone and their brother will be blowing you up constantly about everything. I had to learn the hard way to set very firm boundaries with who I respond to and when.
Yeah, I feel like I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t but 99.9999% of the things people in my business unit message me about are easily found in the myriad of resources available to them. And for the ones outside my business, we have an inbox for that shit. Literally anyone on my team can help. It doesn’t always have to be me.
