I am a Reliability Maintenance 3P contractor for Amazon. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering on June 2022. I’ve been working with Amazon for a year, but there’s a lack of prospective EE positions within the company. The job postings I see are either less or barely above my current salary. I’m not sure if staying longer is beneficial for my future career as an Electrical engineer. I plan on getting my FE license within the next 6 months. Any suggestions will be appreciated

A question from a youngster. Is working at a big big company with slightly low pay better or working at a much smaller company with higher pay better?

In the future, after a few years, let’s say I’m at a small company and want to switch to big big company, will the “small names” hurt my chance to get into the big doors?

Offered TC: 180k

I initially thought TC was 199k, but it’s actually 180k. Should I say something like “I was expecting 220. Is there anything you can do like a sign on bonus/raise base a bit to help get to 220?” To see if they can bump it up a bit?

I just don’t want to negotiate and get the offer rescinded.

Went from a big firm to work for a smaller firm. The people in the smaller firm are protective of their work and are good by their work too. I no longer feel chaos or stress. I am treated with respect and my schedule is more normal. I am even working more billable hours than before, but it feels like a seamless experience. I don’t work then past 5pm or anything out of the ordinary for this time of the year. I am so grateful!

I come up with close to 5 years of experience in Azure data engineering.from the last 8 months have been working in wipro and recently attended the tcs interview on the same profile.i had current CTC close to 15 lpa and how much should I ask ?

Who gets to decide the ctc offered to a candidate? If a candidate is being offered x3 his/her current salary then does it give their manager the licence to overutilize the candidate with insane work? The way I see it there's no real benefit for the candidate here considering the performance pressure on him/her.

My employer is not considering employer's PF contribution in my fixed component and employer's PF in my case is 12% of Basic instead of minimum required. I feel that this is making my fixed component to be liable to a higher tax.

I feel that I would have got the same in hand even if my fixed is 2 lakhs lower and employer's PF is part of my fixed as even that portion will be excluded out of tax calc.

Is my thought process wrong? If not, how can I improve my in-hand reducing my tax?

Just wanted to understand theory behind it... Most of the company for exp lnt did... Lnt took 1st round the interview only 2 question and said u cleared and now after that 10 days 20 days.. They are just saying we will schedule 2 nd round... What's the reason behind it?... Is this true that they are not getting interviewer time slots... Or what can be actual reason behind this..
