Dip nails would look great. You can get a pink/white ombre that looks wonderful for weddings. My friend did hers similar to this and it looked perfect in photos

Pretty! Thank you!
Dip powder is terrific but gel is just fine for a simple event. If you go the dip powder route just know that it is still acrylic so don’t be convinced otherwise. Also I highly advise you to NOT let your nail tech use a efile on your natural nail to prep. Make sure the push back your cuticles, shape, light buff, dry with alcohol/acetone that is all and the product will last up to 3wks if done properly. Make sure the powder is put into a separate sanitary container to dip your finger into then discarded after.
For color: funny bunny, lemme bayou a drink, tickle my Francey, Bubble bath, baby take a vow by OPI are perfect colors for a wedding

Wow great advice, thank you! Had no idea I would get an answer here from a professional Nail Tech so that is really awesome. I will check if my salon has those colors, I know they have OPI. I’ve done dip in the past a couple times and gel a couple times. I tried it out then never did it again because it did make my natural nails so brittle.
I’m assuming the efile is the electric one that really grinds away at the nails. I will definitely ask them to skip that.
I’ve never done Dip but yes Gel will be perfect for like two weeks. After two weeks it might not even be chipping but usually my nails are growing out so it’s not looking as good.
Dip is acrylic. Also, Pinterest has a great nail ideas.
And to add, both acrylic and dip can be done with or without the added fake tip. I do acrylic directly onto my natural nails, no fake tips, because my natural nails are long. It keeps them from breaking, a no chip/gel isn’t strong or thick enough for me.
I don’t like doing dip consistently because they take it off completely every time and really file your entire nail down. With acrylic (or other hard buildable gels) they just fill in what’s grown out.
My nail tech applies clear Powder/Dip on my natural nail & then puts Gel on top (any color I want). This combo lasts 3 weeks and looks like real nails. When time comes to re-do, she files lightly gel off the top & fills in with clear Dip. Then puts any color Gel on top. This technique doesn’t require to soak nails in acetone to re-do them: much healthier for the nails and a whole lot less expensive.
Thank you :) My nails naturally are very brittle, so gel alone doesn’t keep them strong bc gel is more flexible on your nails (i. e. It’s good for those ladies that garden, for instance. So if the nail bends, it won’t break). However, powder/dip gives my nails the strength to hold up well for 3-4 weeks as well as not as expensive as new set & damaged by acetone. And if your tech is gentle with sanding the old gel coat/with filing new powder in the spot where the nail grows out, your nails won’t be damaged. All that happens is they grow out, while looking gorgeous & stay strong & then filled with more powder next time around & a new fun gel color on top. I’ve been going to the same tech for 2 years straight & I don’t even remember the last time we had to soak them in acetone to get a completely new set. I always have a lot of compliments on the look. Also, I am very particular for my nails not to look too thick, combo of clear powder/gel on top/light smoothing out/sanding does just the trick - they look natural (thin) with nail polish. Congrats on your wedding!!! Hope this is helpful :)
Yes it does! Dip will last a month and gel lasts 2 weeks. Look up “glazed donut chrome nails” it’s very in rn

Here’s a simple white French with silver line
I did this for my wedding earlier this year. Used to have all square shape but played with almond shape and loved it. Having this shape in short version ever since.
Find someone who does Russian manicure. It is a special technique (dry manicure) and they can build your nail with gel to look like this. It is important to really research and go to a person who does this very well. This is what is do nowadays and love it. Also, it is much better than dip (with dip your nails cannot breath) but this buil gel is amazing. Good luck and pls share your wedding nails with us to see what you ended up with
