Worked on MLK Day and carried the holiday. DTE isn’t letting me take the holiday this week. Is there a special way to code it?

Probably a stupid question, but why don't recruiters tell you the agency they are looking to get you at from the start?

At the office listening to a black woman educate two white women on how to take care of black hair. They have so many questions 🙂.

Hi, does anyone else in Houston, TX with an MSW find it difficult to find a good paying job without the license? If you know of any places hiring only an MSW please point me to them. Currently working on getting my LSW. Thanks in advance!

I’m leaving my job soon but I’m wondering if I should be truthful when I hand in my letter of resignation. There’s a ton of reasons but it boils down to: I’m worth more than they can pay me and I need to pay off these student loans. What should I say?
I am a Family Nurse practitioner with years of clinical experience. I als have spent time working in: Quality Assurance for CMS surveys, Post Acute Care and Readmission prevention and teaching BSN programs. I would love to get into consulting in a WFH position. I have been working from home for 2 years and would like to stay home. Any leads would be appreciated.
Hi Fellow Fishies,
I am reaching out because I was recently contacted to interview for Cigna Provider Engagement Development Program. I wanted to see if I could connect with anyone on here that I can help give a breakdown of what this program entails, day-to-day, and WLB. Any tips on the interview and interview process for anyone working in this position? I would be truly grateful for any help or information that can be provided!
Telephonic Workers’ Comp Nurse Case Managers…What is your typical case load (lost time/medical only)? I’ve been in my current position with a self insured company going on 8 years and my case load has gotten bigger and bigger over the years.
Is it appropriate to email a hiring manager for an update? I emailed HR on Monday. I had an interview two weeks ago (the third interview) for a position I really want. I haven’t heard anything and I keep checking the status and I’m not rejected yet. I thought about emailing the director who I initially interviewed with today since I haven’t heard from HR.
Got as far as an offer letter for a patient experience position but their offer is $10 lower than what I currently make. What can I use as leverage for negotiations? What can I include in a benefits package to make the lower wage worth my while?
Which Job Offer Would You Pick? I’m fortunate enough to have recently received 2 job offers. Which would you pick based on the following information?:
Job Offer 1 - Salary: 10,000 more per year than Job Offer 2, less PTO than Job Offer 2, better work place culture
Job Offer 2 - Salary: 10,000 less per year than Job Offer 1, more PTO than Job Offer 1, better benefits than Job Offer 1
Job duties are comparable. Feel free to ask questions to help you decide! Thanks for weighing in!
Currently, I am a clinical liaison at a large skilled nursing company in the Houston Medical Center. I have recently been offered multiple positions making more and working fewer hours . I have only worked with my previous company for roughly six months, but I feel I am underpaid. How much do people in this position make, and how do I go about asking for a raise? Is it too soon?
I’m a bariatric coordinator and an RN. I graduate with my MSN in executive leadership in December. I’ve always wanted to go into leadership. My CNO turned my current job into a “leadership” position. I feel like all of this was done in attempts to get me to “be quiet”. I feel so overlooked, and under appreciated. I’ve been a nurse for 8 years, and worked 7.5 years in high risk ICU. Where I was a charge nurse and a nursing house supervisor as well. Does anyone have any advice? I feel so deflated
Long story short, I have a bachelors in Public Health/Health Science, and no idea what to do with it. I currently am contracted with a disabilities agency in the vocational services side of things, working for $20/hr with no benefits. I realize this is a very low paying job, but I do not know the extent of the career options with the degree I have. I’d like to ask, what would be the highest paying/most rewarding career options for me?
