Those who exited (and lead the way for those of us still stuck in it)— how did you handle the benefits change? I have an offer from a small tech company but the benefits package is slim compared to consulting. The pay is better but not that much better to make up for losing 10 (!) days of PTO
How many vacation days do you get?
Anyone have advice on taking/requesting time off for a family member’s illness? I’ve used my vacation days for the year and just trying to gauge general response for additional time off (a week tops)
Just started work half a year ago but hitting a rough patch and finding it hard to function. Realistically I may need time off but don’t feel comfortable asking for that ... how to go about at work?
Hello fam! Dealing with mental health issues isn’t easy. I myself have been dealing with anxiety and depression for a few years now. I know this year has been really hard on us and the holiday season can make it harder for some of us. I just want to put it out there that if any of you just need someone to talk to, some words of advice, empathy from going through similar struggles, etc., please feel free to reach out to me and I’m happy to listen and share the experiences with you! :)
Is BEC doable with 8 days of studying? I will be studying all day as I am taking vacation.
Finally hit my breaking point. Been nothing but irritable & pissed off these past few weeks. Coach asked me on Friday when I’ll be taking time off & I just broke down. I’m a top performer & a workhorse. I’ve put so much effort into making sure my team is okay I forgot about myself. Now I am buried in work, performance is dropping & I can’t stop crying randomly. I kept telling people I am drowning but no one was listening. Coach is leaning to tell everyone to backoff thankfully.
Looking for recommendations for a 2-week vacation with my SO in late April/early May (I live in NYC). Want to take advantage of having 2 weeks available, weather, and non-peak season
Anyone else starting their holiday road trip tomorrow? have ~8 hrs to fill. Suggestions for podcasts, music, audiobooks? TIA & happy holidays!🚗 ⛄️ 🎶
It's been 20+ months of remote. The world had changed. Accept it. How to be a competative employer in the New Normal: -Remote completely -Yearly company wide team building week in an exotic resort (think Deloitte University) + Quarterly team based meetup at a WeWork -WFH setup & wifi / cell phone paid + $X stipend for coffee / lunch etc. Virtual hh. -training budget -good team culture and reasonable WLB -holiday time shut down for min 1 week -leverage Slack, GSuite, Jira, Asana, etc
Does anyone work for Trinity Health Corporate? Specifically Epic? Curious how work life balance is working fully remote? How salary compares to other hospital systems? I have an Epic certification. I saw online that pto benefits are less than ideal for new employees.
Any suggestions for a family-friendly vacation spot this summer? In the Midwest / east coast / southeastern coast (NC SC GA FL) areas? Really looking for somewhere we can rent a house and mainly just walk to local restaurants, shops, etc.
Pre-Covid: how many vacation trips do y’all take a year? Any idea of yearly budget for vacation trips? I’m a fresh graduate and I’m not exactly sure how I should budget/if I even should have a yearly budget for travelling leisurely.
Where would you go on vacation right now?
With international travel restrictions, any opinions on The Breakers Palm Beach for a week vacation?
Anyone else not started on R2 because you are waiting for R1 first? This could be a really miserable holiday 😬
Going back to work on Monday and I really want to quit and take time off. I feel burnt out and not interested in doing advertising/design anymore. Even after a long Xmas/NY break, I feel refreshed mentally but know that within a week or two I'll be drained again. Has anyone ever quit to take time off or taken a low stress/casual job elsewhere to reset their brain?
I went on vacation recently & realized I hate my swimsuits. What are some good places to get quality beachwear? (Not AMZN).
Are we only allowed to charge sick days when we’re actually sick / have a doctors appointment? EY offers 15 vacation days and 10 sick days while many other firms offer 25 days PTO... cont

Does a senior VP in a relatively "no-name" company (like Johnson and Johnson) make more than an entry level Program Manager in Google?
Managing 2 analysts - noticed their teams status is routinely away for 2-3 hours at a time. Responsive within 5-10 mins of ping and always get their work done albeit sometimes late at night. Is this a problem?
Tips for working smarter instead of harder?
McKinsey and Bain 🐠, do you feel like your firm values you? I really like consulting, but I’m considering a switch since BCG’s culture is somewhat toxic.
Hi Guys. Need help evaluating two offers: 1. McKinsey - Associate in Risk Consulting - $165K base/30K sign-on. NYC/Chicago. 2. Facebook - Program Manager in Security and Privacy - $160K base/$100K RSUs over 4 years/$20K sign-on. Bay Area I have 6 YOE at Deloitte in Cyber since graduating college. Has always been a desire to work at McK but don’t plan to stay in Consulting long term. Was all set to join McK until this offer came along. Any advice on what factors I need to consider?
