That’s crazy!! I worked at a charter school for two years and we got 2500 copies a year!! I had to supply my own paper & printer for copies beyond that.
Now I where I teach - I get 2500 copies a month. I never run out of copies.
It’s crazy to not supply paper/copies for teachers.

District pays for all xerox paper. We do have a code to put into the xerox machine so it’s recorded, but no we do not have to pay.
I don't photocopy stuff, but we can just make as many copies as we want. We use composition notebooks.

I have heard some talk of this in other buildings in my district. Our program isn't very printing intensive so hopefully we get a pass.
I do think that teachers need to be mindful of how much printing they're doing. Does something really need to be printed or could be a message? Could something be double sided? But as we all know, no matter how much digital technology we have, printing is still necessary. I think it's unethical for schools to expect teachers to pay out of pocket to make copies though. Maybe establishing a printing budget for a teacher to manage would be acceptable. But paying out of pocket to do your job; NO!

Here in North Carolina we get $40 faux a month! It is $0.01 a page and would definitely find ways since I teach social studies, Civic literacy and psychology. I do most of my work on paper.
That sounds awful. No we don’t pay. We are not limited and we have color copiers. We also have laminate and we don’t pay for that either. I feel really grateful because I know that this is not available everywhere.
