Does your employer offer student loan repayment assistance as part of their benefits package? Personally, I think it would be a game-changer for me, especially since I’m still trying to balance my monthly payments with living expenses... curious to know if anyone here has this benefit at their job and how it’s impacted your financial situation.

Yes, I actually fought hard to get student loan repayment assistance added to our benefits package, and it’s been a total lifesaver! It’s made a huge difference in my monthly budget, allowing me to put more towards my loans without feeling so strapped for cash. If you can advocate for it at your workplace, I highly recommend it.

😂😂 Oh gosh no, but I am so jealous of those of you who work for companies that offer that. My company can't even be bothered to pay us enough to cover both food and rent. They definitely aren't concerned about alleviating our student loan stress. It would be cool if it was more normalized as a benefit.

Sadly mine doesn't and I wish that it did. I will say they did help pay for my Master's though while I was getting it so that definitely helped but all these degrees have put me massively in debt LOL.

Nope. There’s tuition reimbursement, though. Not sure if I should try and ask if I can get that as loan $ or try and find an upskilling or PhD program to do since I already have two masters.

I just hit my lean fire number but am hesitating to pull the trigger, so was hoping to run it by people smarter than me:

- I have a few rentals that bring in ~$1800/mo cash flow, taxes are negligible, Capex incl.
- My paper assets will bring in ~$1200/mo at 3% draw
- I get free Healthcare at the VA
- No plans on kids
- My expenses haven't topped $30k/yr ever
- I could always reenter the workforce if needed (albeit probably not in consulting)

Please point out the flaws here, what am I missing?

Curious to know how much your student loans were when you graduated from your program, how much you’ve paid off so far, and your age. If you have any varying factors too, like kids, income range, etc. Just trying to see if I’m on track or slacking in life. I am 34 yo, i graduated with 95k in student loans, i currently have 85k left and i make 85k in come. I’m also a single mom with two kids. Just praying for 100% student loans forgiveness. Wishful thinking???

I have a 25K loan from my MBA. I paid off 100k whole, after graduation. 3 years ago, I moved my loan from federal to private ( SOFI) account. I recently lost my job. I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. Now, with a loss of pay , we are going to make less. Do you think I will be eligible for Loan forgiveness?
