Don't you think its hard to plan for everything as a new entrepreneaur or small business? You don't know what you dont know. Amirite?

What is one piece of advice you would give to a new entrepreneaur to help them in their own journey?

The same thing my old boss told me: "Done is better than perfect." I think a lot of entrepreneurs are prone to analysis paralysis, so this is great advice to keep in mind. You'll never get your business off the ground if you're a perfectionist. You have to put that aside and just start doing without being afraid to make mistakes.

Kiss. Think big but small steps first, then run. Keep it simple

This feels AI generated, but great entrepreneurs know how to pivot and adjust to circumstances. Sitting still is death and charging ahead with blinders on is also death.

AI probably wouldn’t have misspelled entrepreneur.

Yeah the unknown is definitely what makes owning a business or any entrepreneurial venture scary. I prefer the risk to the predictability of an office job though. I'd say don't go into small business ownership unless you're comfortable with uncertainty

You definitely cannot play for everything. Even when you think you have planned for everything, something will come up that you have not planned for. You can only do so much.

Ugh. This.

Stay reflective.

I am looking for a new job at the end of a long career. I have excellent experience in IP and Supply Chain Management. I've been fortunate to be in a high-paying position in the Los Angeles area and I rarely see comparable positions posted. The comparable positions at my company are filled by one of the big executive search firms. Any recommendations for finding the rare executive-level legal positions or for landing on the radar of the big executive search firms would be much appreciated!

For startup founders/people with a successful side project: How did you get the idea/inspiration for your business?
