Every trip to the grocery store feels like a game of mental math and guilt. I skip the extras, double-check the price of eggs, and still walk out feeling like I’ve spent too much. Rent’s up again. Bills creep higher. I smile through it all, but my chest feels tighter each month. I’m trying my best—but what if my best won’t be enough? Do you ever wonder how we’re supposed to keep up when everything costs more but nothing else changes?

Yes. Never before have I felt so much stress and guilt around the food budget, and my family doesn't even eat out! We try to eat well at home, eat our left overs and reduce food waste, and still I am spending hundreds every week just to feed a family of 3. I have no idea what happens if things just keep getting more expensive

That sounds really tough—feeding a family while managing rising costs is such a balancing act. It’s heartbreaking how even careful planning and cutting back still leaves you stressed. Have you found any tricks or resources that help stretch the budget a bit?

I almost broke down right at the checkout line today. I went in to grab a few things for dinners this week. I'm not joking when I say less than 2 grocery bags full, and the cashier said $105 and change. I calculate as I go and apparently a few things I got were excluded from sales... so frustrating how expensive it is to try to eat healthy.

That’s so frustrating—I feel you. Trying to eat healthy on a budget feels like a full-time job sometimes. It’s crazy how quickly costs add up, even with just a few items. Have you found any go-to affordable staples that help keep the balance?

Rent is skyrocketing, groceries are skyrocketing. And I got a whole 3% raise this year that doesn't help at all...and is still better than most people see.

I feel inadequate and unsure of how or if to acknowledge the US/Buffalo racist murders and terrorism of this weekend in the workplace. I don’t want to do disservice or unintentionally further traumatize anyone. I know my Black colleagues are traumatized. I am horrified. And yet we just have our meetings and I guess compartmentalize it away.

I was wanting to know if it’s possible to start a career as a Project Manager in the marketing/advertisement world? I have a few years of PM experience without the “official title” of Project manager. I am close to finishing my Grow with Google Project Management Program as I am now on course 6/6. I’m not looking for any kind of mid-level position. Simply trying to get my foot in the door as a PM for the marketing industry and wanting to know if that’s a realistic goal.

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
