I'm with you. If I have a specific goal I want to set, then I set it. There is nothing magical about the date January 1st. My general plan for next year is to work on getting my health back. Roughly lose 20lbs, increase my exercise by a few hours a week, maybe join a cycling club again. Nothing is set in stone, though. I want to improve, so I will.

Yup! Sounds like you pretty much know what you want to do this year!
Depends on how you work best and the goal. Some people thrive with strict times, others not so much. Personally, I’m trying to just pick 1-2 focus areas and stick with those. I overwhelm myself and then do nothing.
Yes, I did more than once before I finally realized it. Not just in New Year’s resolutions, either, day-to-day life and work. Better to do 1-2 things well than 5 poorly (or not at all).

I’m with you on this. Reflection and intention sometimes matter more than strict timelines, especially for personal growth. Not everything fits neatly into a deadline.
