I have got an offer for Manager level at a Big 4 in Consulting. People who are 3-4 years juniors at my MBA college are at Manager level and might get promoted sooner than me. Also, a couple of immediate juniors are at Senior Manager level.

Have you been in a similar situation? Is it awkard? How to handle it after joining?

PS: If you are wondering, I do not have a Big 4 or consulting experience while they have it.

My realtor looked at a unit for me, and shared the video w me. I’m interested. The unit is on MLS. Then he posted on his IG story seeking buyer. I’m kinda annoyed because now I may have competitions since he is my realtor OR should I be ok for him to do that since it’s equal playing field on MLS?

Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.

Is finding a Generalist position for more than 50k but with me having less than 7 years of HR experience reasonable? Is a generalist position the best next step to get more experience? I have a masters in HR and my SHRM-CP certification. Any advice on upward moving in the industry is welcomed. Thanks in advanced

I work for a global, top tier tech/consulting company. Have been there 5 years. I have my MBA. I moved from client delivery into HR role last year. I just received a zero increase to my salary. I am a high performer. I was expecting 2-3% merit . Salary is 93k. Need an honest outside perspective of what to do. I feel as though my loyalty & high performance count for nothing. About to join a startup in a Head of People & Culture position (currently 50 people and growing to 200+ over next year) I do not hold a degree in Human Resources or equivalent but hold relevant certs/quals, backed by 8 years of experience in TA and generalist HR. I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory).
