Amex people thoughts on this offer, as I have recently(4 months back) joined a startup with Base(33) and CTC(35.5) but not enjoying the work here. Amex brand tag and culture is good.
Hence, considering the offer, does this offer look good or is there any scope of improvement? Amex American Express

Born and raised in NY and moved to LA four years ago, and I can say work culture is WAY more lax in LA. There are just a lot less rules about hours from my experience and people are way friendlier. We’re actually having issues right now because we need to work with people out in NY and there is a big culture clash in how aggressive and needlessly harsh the people in the NY office are coming off as.
But beyond work, rent is also way cheaper, you drive everywhere and don’t have to deal with the daily public transport and crowds, and I much prefer my life out here in LA to my life out in NY (though I do miss it sometimes).
I miss NY
Generally speaking, yes. But there’s still the grind of working in a Tier 1 market—especially if you’re on an entertainment, auto or QSR account.
No winter. Access to outdoor activities. Depends on where you want to live. And where you end up working. But it’s a great place to feel like you’re on vacation
