Ex-NYers in LA: Can someone honestly tell me if (for the most part) media life in LA is more manageable than NYC? Feeling like my time is finally up after over a decade of living here and wondering if it’s worth the move back to the west coast (I spent ~10 yrs in the Bay before NY, now living with a partner who has been in NY all their life and we are pretty set on giving LA a try). Obviously it depends on company/agency, type of work, etc. so curious to hear from everyone!

I’m trying to pivot to PM after >3 years in finance and I have a 2nd round interview with CPO this week. Company has 3.7 on Glassdoor with complaints about CEO, “bro-y” culture, and hard to wfh. It’s a data analytics company with 5 PMs, was bought by a PE firm this year, and has a new (female) CEO as of Oct. Role is 50/50 hybrid, pays well vs what I make, and most importantly would be a foot in the door to PM. Is this a good place to be for PM? What else do I need to find out to know for sure?
