EY LawEY Law has started my green card process almost two years ago and still haven’t gotten through the PWD stage. About 8 months ago they told me they had to reapply for the PWD because they received an unfavorable decision. My visa is set to expire end of next year. Is this normal? I don’t understand why they’re taking so long and can’t even get a PWD decision.

Anyone here knows agency/in-house that do O1 Visa? for JAD with one year experience.. My next jump would make me an AD possibly.

Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Has anyone tried doing this yet? Can anyone shine more light on this? The extension would really help me, but I’m not sure what more to tell them in my email than the fact that I couldn’t sit for the exams this Spring/Summer due to test centers closing in NYC.

Can my license be renewed without the original extension petition? Or do I need to wait for the originals to come in. Trying to understand what do I need to carry to the DMV. Based in CA. I’m maxing out the 6th year for H1b and my I-140 just got approved. 1 month ago, my employer has filed a h1b extension but it is based on the approved PERM instead of the 140, and only asked for one-year extension. In that case, after 6 months (180 days i140 rule to avoid employer’s revoke), will I be able to switch employers even though the renewed H1b gonna expire soon at that time?

Does EY file for I140 under premium processing by default, or would I need to request for this explicitly?

H1-B transfer question

I recently accepted an offer to join a company (A) . They started my H1-B transfer and I received today the approval notice for the transfer.

However, I accepted last week a (better) offer at another company (B) and they will start soon my H1-B transfer.

I attend to tell company (A) on Monday that I will not be joining them. Will there be any issue with company B filing for a H1-B transfer soon?

Hey guys, one question. My H1B will start on Oct 1st, and I am planning to visit my home country to get H1B visa stamp. I filed my amended state tax return a year ago and did not hear from them. Does it affect my VISA or entry to the US? Or should I call them to check the status of my status tax return? Please advice

I just put in my notice at my company for a new job that only cleared level 1 wages (and certainly wouldn’t clear whatever 45th percentile is). Haven’t filed the transfer yet. How screwed am I? Should I ask my new job to file the transfer without premium processing in the hopes that the new DOL wage rule gets struck down by the time my transfer is processed?

Wanted to understand what happens in FAANG companies if H-1b visa runs out and there is no I-140 in place to extend visa beyond 6 years. Do they transfer the employee to a non-US office E.g. Canada? Does anyone here been through this scenario?
