Fed honors attorney here in need of help. I was hired into a specific practice group several years ago, with focus on that practice group's work, and the implicit assumption (and explicit talk) I would work in that practice group after "graduation" from the program. I'm now getting shifted to a different group, because my current manager overhired and doesn't have room for me. New manager is reluctant to give any meaningful responsibility or work, as they don't know me. Is this my sign to run?

Yeah, that's what i was thinking, but I guess I needed confirmation - thanks. It's kind've wild. My program is supposed to last 3 years, but they're booting me to the new subgroup completely in January, under the rationale of a "runway." I had a long talk with current manager yesterday, and after he told me about this, he started asking if I planned on staying with the agency. I think he knows exactly what he did lol.

I was an honors attorney, and my agency was unionized. It was basically impossible to fire someone, so we had attorneys that literally did nothing for years. It's a sweet spot to be in. The work will come. But if you're sure you'd want to go into private practice someday, it might be worthwhile to do it now so you're not lagging behind your peers due to lack of real experience on the job.

Hey there! First post here 😊

I've done a lot of self-work this year re: where I've been most successful and fulfilled over my last ten years.. I'm 32 and have been in sales, sales leadership, and business leadership (I've been a ceo and am currently head of sales at a start up).

All that said, I'm looking for some words of wisdom on how to pivot to sales ops, Rev ops, or GTM strategy. The latter probably being my preference.

References, wisdom, and general advice appreciated!!

If anyone is interested in taking a summer trip to Myrtle Beach from 7/29-8/5, I am renting out my timeshare with Marriott's OceanWatch Villas at Grande Dunes. This resort is right on the beach and offers many fun activities for the whole family! The two-bed, two-bath condo has a fully furnished kitchen and can fit up to 8 people. I am ideally looking for someone to rent it out for the entire week for about 3K total. Message me for more information!

Curious what anyone thinks about cologne? Is it a turn on? I am not really into it.. but I just got a whiff of this dude at the gym and the cologne did something to me 🥰 It was really subtle. I tend to just like the way a man smells (not body odor but just natural scent) and don’t usually like it covered up, but wow this guy tonight 🥵 I might might buy some but i figured it would be gay to ask him “what are you wearing” because that prob isn’t something the bros at the gym do.
