Guys, I got an offer letter from Tata Consultancy
Few observations I have where I need your suggestion.
1. Fixed Basic is only 18% of CTC. I think the only benefit from this is lower Retirals deductions.
2. There is one "Personal allowance" that is almost 70% of the BoB. Any benefit from this on tax?

You absolutely cannot ask for an extra week immediately after you start. Your husband is nuts to even suggest that!
Yeah OP’s husband needs to put his foot down with his mother. I can’t believe he is pressuring OP on this.

Take the week you disclosed, but do not ask for an extra. That’s a wild suggestion.

Tbh two full weeks in a row is pretty unrealistic anywhere but esp just after starting. Your partner should be sympathetic to this, MIL notwithstanding

You'll have plenty of time in the evenings to spend time with family during the 2nd week. Don't take the extra time off.

Also FWIW my MIL is flying down for her niece's baby shower and wants to stay to celebrate her (MIL's) birthday and asked us to extend our trip for her birthday. So it would be a 2 week trip. We are also planning to see my family at Thanksgiving and go to my cousin's wedding (overseas) in August. I have 22 total days pto for this calendar year.
How does the company feel about remote work? Can you work remotely that second week?
That's what my husband wanted me to explore, but I was afraid to ask for being so new. I think they're open to it as most of my team is remote. We are spread across the US. I am one of the few that actually will be going in to an office.
