Fellow editors, I’m leaving somewhere where I’ve been in-house for 5 years, and was in-house 2 other place before that. I’m realizing that while I’m excellent at my craft, I’m not an excellent freelancer. Any advice for someone striking out on their own (and not in LA/NY)?

Just leverage those connections. Folks who’ve moved on from your old agencies. Studios you’ve worked with (and wanted to work with). Send a quick note when you see someone’s cool work or significant LinkedIn posting eg new job, award, etc. Post on your socials announcing your availability. Find other freelancers in your town and ask them who to talk to, we’re friendly! Keep a list of who you’ve talked to and when and then reach out again after 3-4 months. Just stay on people’s radar. Hopefully after a few years of hustling for work it’ll eventually get on autopilot and you won’t have to grind as much. You got this.

I had two interviews last week at good PI firms. Hopefully I will finally get out of ID for 2023. I’m so done with it. Anyone else made the move out of ID, to PI or something else? How’s it going?

Hi all,

Please suggest.
I've 3 yoe in techno-functional domain.
I wish to go into technical (development) profile now, but not as a fresher. I want to continue with 3 yoe.
But the issue is, I have no (dev) project to show in interview as an 3 yoe person.

I've learned Java, springboot, restfulAPIs, kafka, but still hesitant to go for interviews as I do not have projects to discuss.

I shall be very thankful to you if you help me here.
How/where can i go to make projects now to justify 3yoe?

Interviewing soon with EY for a senior role (TD FSO). I originally applied for their core practice but the recruiter convinced me that since I’m coming from a financial services audit background, I’d be better suited for their FSO practice. Hi all, I’m looking to learn about how one can transition from PwC AC to PwC India.
I joined PwC AC Bangalore as a fresher and have been working here for 13 months.
I was randomly assigned to SAP, but I’ve realised I really want to move away from this and move towards what I originally planned on pursuing i.e. data analysis, I was already well versed in ML and DL with python.
If anyone has made a similar transition, it would be great if you could help me understand how do I go about this.

Hi all.
