Well, I like to think about it more like watching a really long show. For comparison, it would take 99 hours to watch the entirety of the office. Plus, it's actually a really effective use of your money if you think about in Dollars/Hours of Fun. At a full price of $60, that comes out to $0.60/hr. If we say the average movie is 2 hours and a ticket costs $12, it would cost $600 total or $6/hr to have the same bang for your buck through movies. In conclusion, playing a game for 100 hours is 6 times better than watching a 100 hour movie. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk
Don’t feel bad. I did similar time getting the Platinum trophy in Lego Batman 😔
Have like exactly a week straight worth of hours for completing Oblivion. Strange one to finish such a long playthrough
This might help - don't compare it to a movie. Games like those are more like a series of books. Side quests are several chapters and main questlines are almost akin to a full book.
But at the end of the day all that actually matters is if you enjoyed your time existing in and exploring this other world and the adventures within. They're the perfect representation of quality over quantity - play fewer, great games that stick with you and mean something.
Imagine how FPS one-tricks feel, 1000s of hours in one single game
