I would like to know what everyone out there really thinks will happen to the value of farming land. Will fears about a food crisis drive the value up, or will fuel/shipping prices and methane crackdowns make the property lose value?

I personally believe that the values will increase, there is a lot of talk about a food crisis and only the rumor makes things begin to change, maybe that rumor will never come true but it will always be around and increase the values of everything related to food.

I think they will increase, there is less and less arable land, so it is time to look to the future and take advantage of the offers in that area.

I think that the rumors will make the prices go up for a while but then they will go down again, you have to know when to buy and when to sell.

Hey all! I went through the interviewing process with a company and we had a verbal agreement on X amount of salary per year. They liked me and extended an offer but the offer was for $15K less than what we agreed bc that’s what HR approved for. I was desperate so I took it. Accepting this offer meant that I had to relocate to the other side of the country. Omw that was 2500 miles, I received a call that they rescinded the offer. Is there anything legal that I can do to sue them?

I was just informed after the third round of interviews they’d like at least 5 references, two must be supervisors. My last job was a temporary remote job where I didn’t really interact with my supervisor and the jobs before that were at my family’s business (I do not speak to any of them for serious personal reasons.) Anything before that was grad school and I haven’t kept in contact with any professors from over five years ago. What should I do? 😕

What do you do for winter shoes and commuting?

I walk a total ~20 mins in between train/bus stations and then getting from the stop in the loop to the office.

What do I do come wintertime for boots? Do you wear them while you're in the office? Or do you bring dress shoes with you to change in to? I wear a suit to work, so what boots would be good for winter but also look decent with a suit? This is my first winter in Chicago (a socal transplant)

Can two different recruiters submit you to the same place if they’re submitting 4-5 months apart? I’m not using both concurrently. Recruiter 1 submitted me to places in the beginning of the year and only one interview came out of it. Recruiter 2 wants to submit me to some places now. I’m wondering if there’s going to be any conflict/look bad etc if there’s an overlap.

As realtors, our worst and best friend are the contractors, being friends with the contractor that remodelled a home you are going to sell is a plus because you can know for sure what kind of improvements were made to the house and why; and what kind of things are pending to be improved, that way you can provide real information to the client. You know what they say: a happy client always comes back to you.
