Snack. Snack all day long. Even if you’re not hungry. Just a couple of bits of something dry and salty. Goldfish were my go to. I also wore nausea bands and sucked on peppermint a lot too. Congratulations!
Thanks so much. I am going to go crazy at the supermarket today and just stash snack pots in my work bag like an actual toddler.
Are you just feeling nauseous or actively vomiting multiple times a day?
Just feeling nauseous: ginger candies, saltines and Gingerale throughout the day, small frequent meals with whatever protein doesn’t make you more nauseous.
Frequent vomiting: talk to your doctor about anti-nausea meds. And consider telling your direct manager to see if there are any accommodations (my manager let me work from home or leave early as needed). I told my direct manager at 8 weeks with my second pregnancy for this reason. They did not tell anyone and I “formally” announced to the team around 14 weeks.
Yes girl ginger works. They also have good ones called Tummy Drops. Helps a ton.
Nausea bands, stomach settle candy, gum, and my doctor had me taking unisom at night. Snacked on saltines every 2 hours
Lots of snacks. When I was pregnant with my first, I was so nauseous, but I'm in public accounting so I was spending 10 hours/day sitting at a conference room table with my team at a client location. I was working with 2 guys. They started calling my lunchbox 'the magic snack bag' because I just snacked constantly. Neither of them knew I was pregnant and since they weren't married or had kids, the never figured it out. When I finally told them, you could see the lightbulb go on.
Ha!
Carbonation (ginger ale, sprite, sparking water, whatever you like) and crackers. Oyster crackers are great and easy to carry around.
Peppermint candies kept me from throwing up. Weeks 8-10 is the worst so if you can wrangle time off then that would help.
I just checked back through my iPhone at my first pregnancy cause I remember feeling super super often on a particular trip. And sure enough, it was week nine. Now I’m only at week 7-8 this time and feeling worse!
Ginger people hard candies
Carbs can help.
