Fiverr inc. Warning: Fiverr scam that looks legit
Sharing this to alert fellow freelancers.
I received a message inside the Fiverr app along with a notification email, claiming to be from “Fiverr Tech Support” about account verification. Because it came through official channels, it looked genuine.
The chat redirected me to an external site (not fiverr.com) and asked me to pay ₹10,000 for verification, saying it would be credited back. I later realized:

I started a new job just 7 weeks ago, but an opportunity for a dream job just suddenly and unexpectedly fell into my lap! It’s a lot more money, more aligned with my career goals, and will have better work life balance. I’d be an idiot to not take this great new opportunity! Hi fishes, I have 2 offers-
Thermo Fisher for Data Engineer in AWS and Python and Ameriprise as Lead Developer for Informatica Powercenter. Ameriprise is offering 50k more in my monthly salary than Thermo Fisher. My preference is to join in where I can grow and get a good learning for future career growth. Also, work life balance should be good in the organization.
