Is there a way of bypassing the H1B lottery? I was told by an external recruiter that if I joined their London team, after a year I could go through H1B process without the lottery. I have recently received an offer letter from PwC and have signed and accepted the offer (via Workday portal).
Now when I check the tasks against the job on workday, I can see no tasks pending and under completed tasks: a green tick against 'review and sign offer letter (step complete)' (and I can see the offer)
I am told that I would receive onboarding emails from HR, but I haven't yet.
My DoJ is in the fourth week of July. When do we generally expect these communications?

If that gets denied, my plan is to travel to Canada and re enter US immediately on B1/B2 visa (already have valid B1/B2 stamp) so that I'll get time to figure out things here in the US (sell my stuff, handle my bank accts etc). Is it possible for me to reenter US on tourist visa?
