Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Yeah I'm seeing a massive decrease in just opportunities in general lately. I want to keep up my weekly goals of applying to 25 jobs a week, but I'm just not even finding that many openings right now. Not sure where else to look
People have told me recently to start networking even if there isn't a job associated, so just talking to people and trying to find out about potential openings before they're listed. So I think I'm gonna start trying that out.
What i do make use of is a reverse recruiting service referred to me by my cousin over 5 years ago, and this is the second job opportunity they would help with after the headcount at my previous workplace. You can also reach out to them at time2getuhired@gmail .com
