For those of you who have gotten in house offers at medium to large tech companies lately, how long has it taken from final interview to offer (or rejection)? I'm about 10 days post final interviews and still waiting. Is this typical?

I would think it would be a few days after final interview. But every company is different so who knows.

Depends a lot.

It could be they’re having a hard time wrangling schedules for a consensus meeting. It could be that the recruiter is being slow getting an offer out.
It could be that you are their backup choice, and they’re waiting to see how the top choice responds to their offer.

I’d just play it cool and wait.

Took me about 7 days to receive the formal offer letter and then a week more to negotiate and get a new one drafted up. I agree with SC2 that it could be a few factors. I would reach out once you’ve hit that 14 day mark

What are your thoughts on the Scrum Master role? I’ve worked with a few now and out of 5 of them, only 1 seemed to be of any help. Most of the time we have to explain every detail multiple times and they still don’t understand what we’re doing. I feel that the role should be reserved for employees with experience in the systems they work in.

Currently working on a three person team in a larger GC group. I lateraled from a different group that did not pay attorneys on an attorney scale. I’m stuck in my old pay scale but have gotten promotions and raises quickly with more on the horizon. A recruiter reached out with a new role for 2-2.5x more than I currently make doing something similar. I love my company and the people I work with but the money isn’t there. Is it worth trying to get a counter to stay if I get the bigger offer?

Considering joining a small 50-person company as the only attorney (prior attorney is retiring). (I am currently in-house at a F50). For others who have done the same path, what surprises did you have when moving from a large company to a small one?

For example, it sounds like I should not expect a document management system, based on a prior post in this bowl. I’m guessing expenses like state bar fees and cell phone are not reimbursed.
