For those who are seasoned in designing
Imagine you got set back to square one,
You're in your early 20s,
Little experience, what you doing to break in to the field?
Times are different now, so I'd like to see what you'd do.

Intern at a variety of places. No agency.

Not a bad choice at all. Seen plenty of spots for interning

Start your own biz. Be scared and challenge yourself to be better. Pound that pavement and meet people you can help. You’ll thank yourself in a few years.

I’m thanking myself 11 years later.

This is actually my plan, a risky one but it feels like the only solid option you have full control over

Probably start with internship at bigger companies, especially companies that doesn't judge based purely on experiences and skillsets.

Alright auto fishes, I’m in the market for a entry level luxury car. Open to used or a lease. I don’t plan to use it as a daily driver, live in an HCOL. Only restriction is that I’d like to keep my monthly costs at no more than $600-$700/month (including insurance, financing / fees, etc; have a parking spot already). Doesn’t have to be a European badge. Thoughts?

I like my current job, company and public accounting. I know I am being underpaid at $70k as a senior tax associate with 2-3 years of experience as I have talked with my local peers as well as local recruiters. Also, I know outside hires to my company get paid about $5-$10k higher than me, but they don’t get a raise the following year. My question is what is everyone’s experience with company hopping to get a pay bump within public accounting?

If you see an open job posting at a company you want to work for, what steps do you take to apply? I’ve been told that cold applying and making no contacts is usually not going to lead to anything, and that’s been true in my experience. But should I reach out to someone first? Should i apply and then email someone? In HR? Or someone who’d be directly supervising me? Or someone at my level? And what should i say? Thanks!
