Coach
Putting together an actual list of top priorities and making sure I knock those out. If my strike list for the day of must dos is too long then my top task is figuring out what I can offload and how to make that be ok. I also will do timed work bursts. Like set a timer for 30 minutes or an hour and make sure I stay on task the whole time, or only allocate that much time to a task that doesn’t warrant more than that.
I do a high level estimate of what I can reasonably accomplish or need to do on a day. I then set up checkpoint reminders to force myself to stay on task, so basically breaking down a huge day or task into small manageable ones so it feels achievable. I’m also deadline driven so this works for me!
I use calendar invites (task switch), reminder on phone (start/ end times) or pomodoro (short 10–15 min timers).
Focusmate, Blocksite, blocking my calendar for time chunks for specific tasks. Also just grinding through when I lose momentum after 10 minutes because something got difficult. There's no one silver bullet, try lots of things and use them in combination as needed.
